  2.           Here are   a  few short   notes  to assist   you  in setting   up
  3.      BowlStat that may not be mentioned in the supplied help files.
  4.      
  5.           Previous version of BowlStat are not compatible with version 1.6.
  6.      Team and  Bowler databases must be re-entered. A conversion utility is
  7.      currently being developed and will be available to registered users.
  8.      
  9.           If Yearly  Statictics and/or  "CLUB" scores are to be maintained,
  10.      set the  "Save Stats/CLUB  to disk"  option  in  the  Defaults  EDITOR
  11.      (General Defaults) to "Y".

  14.       VIDEO:

  17.           To start  BowlStat on  a monochrone system, add the "/M" switch -
  18.      ie. BOWLSTAT  /M from  the DOS  command line. This command can also be
  19.      used on color systems to display BowlStat in B/W.

  22.       MEMORY:
  23.       ───────
  24.      
  25.           The amount  of memory  to store  the bowler  database in  can  be
  26.      reduced by  suppling the  maximum number  of bowlers to be defined. To
  27.      to set  the maximum  number of bowlers to 200, type BOWLSTAT 200  from
  28.      the DOS   command line.  If a  number is not supplied, the default  of
  29.      891 (99  teams  with 9 bowlers per  team - BowlStat's maximum setting)
  30.      will be used. Each bowler record takes approx. 150 bytes of memory.

  34.           Please note  that the  MEMORY and  VIDEO options can be combined.
  35.      BOWLSTAT 100  /M allocates  memory  for    100  bowlers  and  provides
  36.      support for monochrome video displays.

  38.           To print  a   copy of  the help  text files   for reference, type
  39.      MANUAL at the DOS command line.
